Students must be at least 14 years old and hold a valid Alberta Class 7 learner's license to enroll in our Basic Program. We welcome students of all ages — from teenagers to seniors.
Yes. Heroz Driving School is fully government-approved and certified. All our programs meet or exceed Alberta's provincial standards, and our completion certificates are officially recognized by insurance companies and licensing authorities.

Our in-car training covers everything you need for Alberta's road test and beyond: vehicle controls and pre-trip inspection, left/right turns and dual left turns, hill and perpendicular parking, lane changing, freeway driving, traffic circles, defensive driving techniques, night driving, and hazard perception. Our instructors continually assess and provide personalized feedback throughout.
Each in-car session is 2 hours long. For the Basic Program, you'll have 5 sessions of 2 hours each. Premium and Premium Plus programs include more sessions for additional road time and skill-building.
Yes! If you haven't driven in a while or simply want to refresh your skills before a road test, contact us to discuss a customized refresher package suited to your needs.
Absolutely. We offer fully flexible scheduling including weekday evenings and weekends to accommodate students who work or go to school. Our hours are Monday to Sunday, 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Yes! Free pick-up and drop-off is included with every program at no extra charge. Your instructor will pick you up from your home, school, or workplace anywhere in Edmonton and surrounding areas.
Yes. We understand that schedules change. Please contact us as soon as possible — at least 24 hours in advance when possible — to reschedule your lesson without any issues.
Upon completing any of our certified programs, you receive an official Heroz certificate of completion. Present this certificate to your insurance provider — most Alberta insurers will apply a discount (typically 15–20%) to your premium. Contact your insurer directly to confirm exact savings.
The motorcycle training program provides Class 6 license preparation. For insurance reduction eligibility, please contact your insurer directly, as policies vary for motorcycle coverage.
